With the news of Italian brand Bottega Veneta permanently merging womenswear together with menswear into one show every season, here we are, taking a look at its latest collection – SS2017 – a show where male and female models were already together in one collection.
The collection is a nostalgic blend of the 40’s fashion shapes and earthy coloring, which gives to this collection a masculine appearance, changing the vibe into a very neutral sort of look for the SS 2017 season, with very little glitz or glam.
What got my attention are the dresses – very 40’s ish and masculinised, obviously very much in tune with the most important topics of our days. I do love this style – it looks sophisticated.Embed from Getty Images Embed from Getty Images
Orange is the color that stood out – strong, bright and beautiful. Often seen in the accessories, it appeared in some of the looks too, like a midi barrel skirt with black belt, a long evening dress and as a shiny midi leather skirt with side slit and small buttons.Embed from Getty Images Embed from Getty Images
The all-silver grey looks made quite an appearence, loking emotionless, practical and distant.Embed from Getty Images Embed from Getty Images
