This week keeps getting better and better after Met Gala 2017 taking place on Monday and today’s relic ambiance from Chanel Resort 2018 fashion show. The presentation prepared by Karl Lagerfeld for this collection almost convinced me to rewatch Hercule Poirot and his adventures in the ruins of ancient Greek, but that didn’t happen.
Chanel like always exceeded my expectations, both in the fashion sense and the story created around the clothes. The collection is the perfect excuse for a well-deserved comeback of the goddess-type woman in a new dimension of sophistication and modernism.
Gold and bronze are often seen in accessories, embellishments, and fabrics. The gladiator image has a go over the shoes and skirts, while the goddess is embodied in embellished long dresses, and adapts as the show goes on, to more sophisticated pieces, like the short sleeve dresses.
