‘Parasite’ win at the Oscars is on everyone’s social media and placed in a high place in director Bong Joon-ho‘s heart, and this is the place where it landed after consecutively the movie kept winning at awards, such as Palme d’Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival back in May. At the Golden Globes ‘Parasite’ had multiple nominations and won Best Foreign Language Film. The Oscars: Glaibera’s Top 5 Red Carpet Looks

This edition of Oscars made it taught for me to create a list of the best looks, yet as challenging as it was, I compiled a top not 10, but 5 of best looks from the red carpet. I can give myself a pat on the back for this. So here I am, inviting you to read on and see my top-five selection, Glaibera style.

If I could go further than a top-five and have an actual winner, it would be without a doubt Sandra Oh. The actress wowed in a shimmery Ellie Saab gown, with a golden ribbon belt and fluffy flowery sleeves. There’s more, like how the dress has three different textures, or how the actual dress looked flowy and sweet. Later that evening the actress changed into something else, yet this look remains the best of all.

Natalie Portman‘s famous cape. I’ve seen everywhere, and its on merit. Truly gorge craft, designed to look sewed on Portman’s figure. We don’t often get to see the actress showing up at events, of any kind. It’s indeed a pleasure to open up your most used social apps and see her making an appearance in one of the most talked and stylish dresses from the Oscars.

I feel like Billy Porter is slowly and surely stealing my heart, cause every time I see him at events, he looks stunning. What kind of magic is this?

Embed from Getty Images

Lily Aldridge is a vision of old Hollywood, in a sort of ’20s but with 2020 hair and high heels. She could have worn something different – shoe wise, but oh boy, I’m gonna pretend like is not that big of a deal, which is exactly right, and worship her overall look. It is simply stunning. Gorgeous dress, great posture, great hair and not a single drop of mistake in her makeup.

Saoirse Ronan is like a perfect painting. Or better, like a song. Like a mesmerizing song. That’s the feeling I got by looking at her appearance on the red carpet. To be frank, she’s my second most favorite red carpet look from the Oscars.

Tom Ford’s Dashing Women Fall 2020 Front Row

Embed from Getty Images

As we all know, it’s Fashion Week for Fall 2020, and we all know what that means, right? Front row dipped in celebs arrived from all over the world, looking fashionable. I can almost forget who’s an actor or a singer once I see them gracing the front seat next so many other exciting figures.
And then we have Tom Ford, who knows just the right celebs and the very best of clothes, cause, of course, he makes them. And then there’s New York, so Tom Ford’s women collection for Fall 2020 is quite the sight, and that I can tell only by looking at a couple of pictures. Imagine being there!

I have to start by fangirling over Chiara Ferragni, who came with her husband. I kind of wish she wore a dress, yet she didn’t and instead matched her blonde hair with a velvet turquoise suit. Taylor Hill, Gina Gershon, Camila Coelho, and Rumer Willis, who came with her gorgeous mom, Demi Moore, all shared Ferregni’s preference for pants and blazer. I feel like a lot of celebs brought a family member, like Miley Cyrus and her brother Trace Cyrus or Ciara and Russell Wilson. Dr. Dre was amongst the invites, together with his wife and daughter. Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet and a few more couples were there too, and as I said, Tom Ford’s Fall front row is just as creative as the show itself. Other names were there, and some came by themselves, yet no one skipped the dress code for the event – dashing.

Best Of Fashion – 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards Red Carpet

There were plenty of celebrities inside the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center on January 26, 2020, in Los Angeles, California, and not all were seen on the red carpet. Even so, memorable outfits made it into this list of arrivals at the event.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, side by side, made quite the appearance with their fashionable outfits. I have to say, they did not match anything, yet the Alexander McQueen metallic grey and Crissy’s Yanina smokey orange dress are a match!

Diplo posed next to look alike Zoro, Orville Peck, who obviously has not been reincarnated into the famous character, but rather decided for a masked appearance on the red carpet. Cowboy hats are on point and matching with their entire outfits.

Nobody does it quite like FKA Twigs in terms of fashion, and here is all proof that we need. She’s wearing custom Ed Marler.

Embed from Getty Images

The Jonas Brothers posed together in matching Ermenegildo Zegna menswear, with Nick Jonas in the middle, nicely wrapping up the bronze and dark navy of their suits.

Billy Porter‘s red carpet look is blue and sparkly and fits on the body, and in fact, looks better than a dress. We even have a headpiece, looking like a hat, but better, way better.

Ariana Grande

The singer went full-on wow in Giambattista Valli, and if it’s a red carpet then we have to make it worth, otherwise, what’s the point in all this? And is it me, or grey is making a comeback?

Embed from Getty Images

Ozzy Osborne and daughter Kelly at the Grammys are such a sight, cause we know we get to peek just a little at these extravagant humans. It’s almost too good to be true. Yet, they were on the red carpet, and that I love!

Lilly Singh came with her clear clutch, and she tossed inside a bunch of M&M’s, so we can all droll. Sweets aside, Lilly Singh is always a good vibe. I love that she’s all dolled up in her lime dress and lime high heels and her clutch. Where can I get such a bag? Or should I make a DIY?

BTS was on the red carpet at the Grammys, and we all know that’s what we were waiting for. They even had a segment on stage, but that’s for another story. Jin, Rm, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and JungKook wore browns and black, very simple and yet nicely put together. Each member had its stylish look, blending in gracefully with the rest of the team.

The Daily Front Row’s Awards Had Candice Swanepoel and a Whole Bunch of Other Bombshells

Embed from Getty Images

It was a bombshell affair at The Daily Front Row’s 5th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards on March 17. As for the dresses, red seemed to be the choice for the day or so it appeared. The red squad: Kate Hudson, Courtney Love, Alicia Silverstone, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jasmine Sanders, Ava Dash, Natalie Halcro and I’ll stop to here. Everyone looked amazing. If I would have to pick a favorite, I would go for voluptuous Natalie Halcro red silhouette. On another note, my ultimate girl crush Candice Swanepoel made a rare appearance (she does that since the birth of her baby boy) rocking a silver long dress with a perfect front slit, deep cleavage and cut-out back.

iHeartRadio Awards: Looks & Winners

iHeartRadio Awards, Los Angeles, California. It’s 14th March 2019 and the dress code is the casual red carpet look. Some artists completely ditched the glam, while the majority showed up looking ready for the party. As for who was there, read on to find out if your favorite celebrity set foot on iHeartRadio Awards’ red carpet.

Australian singer and songwriter Jessica Anne Newham aka Betty Who posed sweetly next to American actress Katie Stevens. The two share a considerable amount in height difference, but this did not stop them from posing next to each other and then having a laugh. Pretty in pink, that’s the definition of Katie Stevens, who had the most adorable pink dress to match with her pink eyeshadow. Betty Who went for a black see-through bodysuit.

Tiffany Young looked like a real pop star in her see trough high-knee boots and lacy cape. She sported blonde hair pinned back, a perfect cat eye and her Best Solo Breakout (Socially Voted Category) award. Good job Tiffany!

Billie Eilish said no to glam and instead stuck to her own signature style. Despite all the black, big accessories and general moody vibe, color and optimism shine through with the help of none other than Sailor Moon.

Now that’s a fun look Doralys Britto! I wanna wear it too! Feminine, modern and very summery.

German rapper Cro did a really cool thing and showed up at the event, to my absolute delight. The look is relaxed with a white tee, black trousers, and white casual shoes matching just right to rapper’s famous panda mask.

Bebe Rexha came dressed to win, and so she did. Her track “Meant To Be” featuring Florida Georgia Line received the Country Song of the Year award. It is a good song indeed. Bravo!

Kacey Musgraves short dress is the way to go when you have such perfect toned legs. Every appearance she makes is a successful one with every detail thought to perfection.

Backstreet Boys, Alicia Keys who left home with the iHeartRadio Innovator Award, Halsey, Taylor Swift – who’s the Tour of the Year winner, Katy Perry, and so many more artists attended the event. As for the winners, congrats to everybody!

Emotional Show at Chanel Winter Fashion Show – A First Without Karl Lagerfeld

Embed from Getty Images

Last fashion show by Karl Lagerfeld is everywhere on the internet nowadays. Chanel lives on, yet the great designer who has been for 36 years linked to the house, has died. Watching the show, despite all the goodies happening in there, which I’ll be going in detail in second, I felt sad. Almost as if with his departure, Karl took with him the thrill and all the magic that he has built.

It’s funny how the last show under his name happened in a Switzerland like winter resort setting, Switzerland being Coco’s eternal place for rest. As for the show, magic as always. You could almost feel the breeze of icy air you would normally experience in a winter resort. And there, right in the middle of the fluffy street, the models walked beautifully in gorgeous coats and wide leg trousers. The collection carries an oversized, men’s style tailoring with chunky ’80s and even ’90s style logo jewelry look. The tweed shares the runway with knitted skirts and sweaters. And there’s the white. Simply mesmerizing, full white silhouettes, in either a dress or some fancy look with pants, top and coat, took the lead of the show. Even actress Penelope Cruz joined the fairies, dressed in a fluffy white dress and white winter shoes.

Speaking of celebs, there’s nothing better in fashion like a Chanel front row. Blackpink’s Jennie, Nana Komatsu, Kristen Stewart, Monica Bellucci, Claudia Schiffer, Gwei Lun-Me and more.

Let’s Talk Fashion From The 91st annual Academy Awards

So, so many great looks at the Oscars; which makes it hard to choose favorites – but I will do it anyway cause I’m loving it. Let’s dig into it, shall we?

Amy Adams – I had to look twice at Amy Adams look, who’s 44. Yes. 44. She looks young, fun, attractive and current. Age reversing anyone?

Embed from Getty Images

Yes, bring in the yellow Maria Menounos! The look resembles one of a Disney princess, with hair looking soft and gentle.

Embed from Getty Images

Laura Marano joined the yellow fun, cause she rocked this gorgeous look, which not only looks dope but suits her skin too. This time yellow is paired with a pearly pink. How the dress is designed makes these two colors sit like besties and twins in one life.

Embed from Getty Images

Michelle Yeoh – In love with the dress. Simply stunning. No words more to add. Except for how gorgeous this dress is. I’ll stop. No, I can’t. I’m in love with this dress. The color; the design; the vibe; the details; the cleavage. I could actually float into a dream, mesmerized by how lovely this dress is.

Embed from Getty Images

Irina Shayk – Lately, the model likes to show off her short hair. For the Oscars, she turned it into a perfect bob, for the delight of her fans and for my delight as well. She’s perfect.

Embed from Getty Images

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – The Dress! If it wasn’t for that extra detail on her off-shoulder sleeve, things would have been slightly different. However, it gets better and Rosie’s dress not only sits perfectly on her slim body but also carries details that stand out and take the look to a next level.

Embed from Getty Images

Chrissy Teigen – I loved her entire look. The dress she wore has 40’s accent. The color is great too and the feathers. I wouldn’t normally expect to see Crissy in such a style yet her choice for the Oscars proves a good point. You never know what might actually suit you, until you try it on.

Embed from Getty Images

Isabeli Fontana – What a gorgeous dress! She could have worn her hair up to emphasize even more the loveliness of her dress.

London Fashion Week Opened With A Busy Schedule and Lots of Great Shows

London Fashion Week has just begun and I’m already in awe for these three collections:

Jamie Wei Huang’s collection at LFW is an exploring adventure, kept in place by shades of grey, mixed with blue and red. These three colors are the main characters, with blue slightly dominating more in presence and variation. Looks are build from layers of unpretentious pieces which consists of oversized shirts on top of some dress or a long skirt. Extra long scarves and socks keep warm and make it look cozy for the viewer.

Embed from Getty Images

British-Chinese-Vietnamese designer A Sai Ta showcased it’s very first ‘on its own’ collection at LFW under the name ASAI. The looks carry a bit of a Peter Pan vibe, however, taken one by one, we have a bunch of good looking pieces to wear on a day to day basis. Coats have just the right feel to ‘mix and match’ with more glammy pieces, and just as good to create a very casual look. I’ve seen a handsome pantsuit and I adore the look of the skirt with a middle split leading to patterned pants.

Embed from Getty Images

Gayeon collection has pieces of Victorian inspiration, at least the upper part, which makes dresses look quite tasteful. Colors throughout the entire collection are kept humble and unnoticeable but don’t be tricked by that. Clothes have so much more to offer in terms of feel and look.

Grammy Awards: Winners, Best of Fashion and More

Grammy Awards was the event everyone was looking for to check out and now that it finally happened (I’ve been waiting for it for sure), we can gather around for a virtual cup of tea or whatever you wish to have, and break down all that it happened, in Glaibera’s style, of course.

Fashion-wise there has been lots of metallics – even Michelle Obama appeared in a dark sparkling pantsuit, next to J. Lo., Alicia Keys, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Lady Gaga. All ladies seemed to have spoken beforehand since each of them had the spark in the outfit.

Speaking of Gaga, the actress and singer left home loaded with trophies, which was expected to happen, thanks to her collab with Bradley Cooper on the movie ” A Star is Born” where the track “Shallow” touched the right place for many. For her red carpet appearance, the artist looked amazing. No extravagant hairstyle, but a platinum blond with beachy waves look framed her face while rocking a smudgy cat eye look. The dress is silver metallic, with an elongated sort of bow on the side and with a leg view. By far, her look is one the best from Grammy Awards.

Embed from Getty Images

The second favorite look is Dua Lipa’s black and white and safety pins dress in which she accepted her Best New Artist Award. And that was only one of the two awards she got in one night, second being for her Electricity track – Best Dance Recording, a win she shares with fellow artist Diplo.

Embed from Getty Images Embed from Getty Images

Amongst the guests, I’ve seen my favorite couple, Ashley Simpson and Evan Ross, both looking as dashing as always. BTS members were there too, invited to hand over the Best R&B Album Award. On the stage, before announcing the winner, RM thanked the Army and made the promise to be back. Then H.E.R. came and took her Grammy award. And that’s about it. Well not entirely. Gabriella Wilson, known as H.E.R., also won Best R&B Performance for “Best Part”.

Embed from Getty Images

Moving on to performances on stage, I have to fangirl over the handsome latin trio – Ricky Martin, Camila Cabello, and J. Balvin. Dressed and white, yellow and red and rocking the stage. What a treat for their fans!

Embed from Getty Images Embed from Getty Images

Other wins:
Kacey Musgraves won album of the year trophy and Best Country Album with “Golden Hour”. A few hours ago had no idea this name even existed, till I had to write this article, and by curiosity clicked on one of her tracks. Instant crush, let me tell you!

American Roots Performance Award and Americana Album Award went to Brandy Carlile with “The Joke” and album “By The Way, I Forgive You“.

Selected: This Week’s Events – NYFW, Sanremo Music Festival and German Drama Premiere

Embed from Getty Images

This week has just begun and there’s already so much in the works. Fashion Week is on top of the list and is by far the most looked-after event of February, and goes further into the beginning of March when it’s all over (for a while). The shows began in New York, which is the place to be this week, literally, with both Men and Women following one after another. Fall/Winter 2019 is the phrase to talk about, and it will be for a while.
Yesterday’s Shows: Todd Snyder, Joseph Abboud, and Palomo Spain, the latter being the epitome of colorfulness and vibrancy in Men’s fashion, so far.

Front Row faces: Zachary Quinto, Johannes Huebl, Drake Bell, Cody Simpson, Neil Patrick Harris and more.

Embed from Getty Images

Next on our list is 69th edition of Sanremo Music Festival, officially starting today and ending on the 9th of February. Yesterday the Festival had a celebrity-infused red carpet event, with artists such as singer Arisa, Paola Turci, Enrico Nigiotti, rapper Ghemon, Einar and so many more. The contest is taking place at Teatro Ariston of Sanremo and is being broadcast by RAI.

Last, Deutsche drama ‘Club Der Roten Baender – Wie Alles Begann’ had its premiere in Cologne at the beginning of this week. The movie is set for its official release on Valentine’s day, definitely not in tune with hearts with chocolate, but the cast is young and talented and besides, who’s not into German dramas! As a plot, ‘The club of red ribbons – How it all began’ (translated) tells the story of six youngsters, each living their own story, till events bring everyone under the same roof of Albertus Hospital. Expect a lot of current societal issues such as family drama, body-image issues and so on. The end promises to be a good one.

Cast: Tim Oliver Schultz, Damian Hardung, Luise Befort, Timur Bartels, Ivo Kortlang, Nick Julius Schuck.

Chanel Couture Collection Invites to Playfulness and Good Looking Pink

Embed from Getty Images

Arranged to look like you’re having an out of the body experience right in the backyard of a glamorous Italian villa, Chanel took its pinks, the little flowers, the bride, and gorgeous mules down the runway for showcasing its Couture collection for Spring 2019. Each silhouette walked around a decent size pond or pool, depending on the type of imagination you have, and posed right at the middle, with a perfect arranged background to emphasize the amazingness of all the craftsmanship that went into this fine collection. The mules I was talking about are designed to have a strap behind, so ultimately, we are left with a very refined shoe. Very lady-like too. As for the pink and violet, I can’t even breath. The shades that were chosen are heavenly soft and pure looking. All the other details are added only to reinforce the general ‘gentle and playful’ vibe. All the other colors known to be Chanel-approved are having individual moments of triumph, ultimately balancing everything out. It all looks eye-catching and grand, that’s for sure.

Front row: Kristen Stewart, Pharrell Williams, Diane Rouxel, Marion Cotillard, Go-Eun Kim and more.

Olivier Rousteing Brings Men In Black Down the Runway For Balmain at Paris Fashion Week

Embed from Getty Images

Balmain show had a bunch of badass tracks to go with the flow of 90’s inspired looks from the Men’s collection for 19/20 Fall. Besides the ’90s theme, I’ve seen other influences mixed in, such as nautical elements and dorky, very laboratory looking glasses. The result of all these elements is a”bad boy and “bad” girl look, quite formidable, wearable and looking warm.
Lots of stripes, cool blazers, baggy leather looking pants worn with white sneakers or black shoes. Flat and newsboy caps are added to the majority of the look, worn on the side. It looks playful and almost naive. Carefree even. The jackets and blazers are quite experimental, some with uneven patterns or just plain casual. The “man in black” and the “Matrix” look is there, in the collection, tailored by Olivier Rousteing to be a great representation of the Balmain man and woman.

Front row: the one and only J. Balvin, Caro Daur, Ming Hao, Jin Han, Regina Anikiy, Luca Fersko, Mariano Di Vaoi, Miles Richie. Love all the names on this list.

Jackson Wang Had a Closing Show Performance at Fendi Mens

Embed from Getty Images

Into a cozy arrangement with a library feel, Fendi show took its Mens collection down the runway, up close to the audience. One after another, male models showcased gorgeous looks of gentle beauty. Colors are soft with lots of brown and beige, black and grey. Pretty simple, yet every look is a unique space of perfectly mixed details, again, very gentle, but so well arranged. This gentleness in details and cuts reminds of a subtle feminity, but it’s not destroying the “masculine” look, instead, it only adds an extra touch of pleasantness. Suits are accompanied by long cardigans and long jackets with matching design, puffer greyish jackets, and tucked-in sweaters. The dominant fabric has a metallic look, again, gentle to the eye. My favorite look from the show: see-through combo, with metallic effect. Pants match the shirt. Don’t worry. There’s shorts involved.

Front row: Chiara Ferragni, Rob Raco, Mandy Sekiguchi. Rapper Jackson Wang closed the show with a live performance.
