Glaibera Selects 8 Looks From Cannes Film Festival 2017 as Best Dressed

The 70th annual Cannes Film Festival is currently taking place and started on Wednesday the 17th, in Cannes. Since then I’m patiently scrolling each day trough all the looks from the festival, which are fabulous. I’ve enjoyed so far the presence of cinema and television actors from all around the world, a sight we don’t get to see that often at movie events of such complexity.

On the red carpet celebrities of all sorts showed off in the latest designer collection. I picked my favorites most elegant and tasteful looks. One thing to add before getting into detailing: I would have loved to see better styling on actors and actresses outside of the already established big cinema names.

Jeanne Balibar looked majestic and frightfully stylish in a Jacquemus SS 2017 oversized beige suit. Although the clothes have the look of the avant-garde, the statuesque actress pulled it off like a pro and delivered one of the best looks that walked the red carpet for this edition of Cannes Film Festival.

This dress is stunning. The off-shoulder strap illusion, the classic shape, the tulle and the embroideries. Just Wow!

Model Jasmine Sanders walked the red carpet on May 22 to attend the screening of the movie “The Killing Of A Sacred Deer”. She looked well styled and carried a little vintage air with her blue column dress. The sight of the sweetheart corset under the sheer blouse of the dress makes the appearance even more appealing.

I don’t remember ever getting disappointed with what Diane Kruger is wearing at any given moment, and especially when she’s all glammed up. On May 23rd she wore custom-made Dior SS 2017. Fragile straps leave the back of the dress naked while the tiered skirt flows softly to the ground. A few days later, the actress changed the vibe by wearing Alexander McQueen Fall 2017 for the amfAR Gala in Cannes. She completed her look with dark smokey eyes and a chic updo.

Ralph & Russo seemed to work well for Bella Hadid at the Cannes Film Festival. The model dazzled at the scene for the amfAR Gala on 25 May in a sheer Haute Couture draped gown.

About K-pop band BTS there’s much to talk about, from their attractive visuals to how they smashed into the international music charts. This year has brought for them plenty awards and the latest win scores a huge step for the band. Winning against artists like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, the lovely group was preferred by an astounding 300 million votes to be the “Top Social Media Artist Awards” at the Billboard Awards 2017.

Jimin, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, V, JungKook and Rap Monster rocked the black for the occasion in personalized looks. Their fashion appearance got the Vogue talking, naming BTS the best-dressed boy-band at the BBMAs 2017.

In the accepting speech, Rap-Monster thanked the Army for their accomplishments. Besides their huge fanbase, the guys work hard. “You Never Walk Alone” was released in February 2017 as a second studio “Wings” album and with it, the band launched “Spring” and “Not Today” which became successful in several important music charts. Since then the guys kept it busy with tours, TV appearances and more touring.

Congratulations to the BTS’s seven members and their team!
