Dua Lipa had a lot to celebrate at the end of August, such as her birthday and a new remix collection ‘Club Future Nostalgia’, released 28th. I came across this by following Joe Goddard. The musician joined the list of well-known DJs, singers, and artists, all part of the remakes in one way or another.
Back the Joe Goddard, his work is heard on the track ‘Featured Nostalgia’, and if I am not mistaken, this is what you’ll hear first on the album, followed by 16 more tracks, some of which have not appeared on the original album, released 27th March 2020.
This project was supposed to be out earlier, yet Dua Lipa announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she wants to have a few more days for giving each track a proper animation, which you’ll get to see it as of now, on the internet. Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Missy Elliott and Mark Ronson are joining the singer in giving voice to some of the tracks (or introduction), worked by DJs such as Jacques Lu Cont (yes!), The Blessed Madonna, Moodymann, Masters At Work and more. I do have my favorites, but I’ll keep it as a secret because I am allowed to. Unless maybe I add everything to my SoundCloud playlist.
One thing does bother me: is it really three years since Blackpink and Dua Lipa released ‘Kiss and Make Up’? That’s too much back in time. Back to the track, you’ll get to hear it on “Club Future Nostalgia’, and I just felt like mentioning it. K-pop anyone?
