Best Of Fashion – 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards Red Carpet

There were plenty of celebrities inside the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center on January 26, 2020, in Los Angeles, California, and not all were seen on the red carpet. Even so, memorable outfits made it into this list of arrivals at the event.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, side by side, made quite the appearance with their fashionable outfits. I have to say, they did not match anything, yet the Alexander McQueen metallic grey and Crissy’s Yanina smokey orange dress are a match!

Diplo posed next to look alike Zoro, Orville Peck, who obviously has not been reincarnated into the famous character, but rather decided for a masked appearance on the red carpet. Cowboy hats are on point and matching with their entire outfits.

Nobody does it quite like FKA Twigs in terms of fashion, and here is all proof that we need. She’s wearing custom Ed Marler.

The Jonas Brothers posed together in matching Ermenegildo Zegna menswear, with Nick Jonas in the middle, nicely wrapping up the bronze and dark navy of their suits.

Billy Porter‘s red carpet look is blue and sparkly and fits on the body, and in fact, looks better than a dress. We even have a headpiece, looking like a hat, but better, way better.

Ariana Grande

The singer went full-on wow in Giambattista Valli, and if it’s a red carpet then we have to make it worth, otherwise, what’s the point in all this? And is it me, or grey is making a comeback?

Ozzy Osborne and daughter Kelly at the Grammys are such a sight, cause we know we get to peek just a little at these extravagant humans. It’s almost too good to be true. Yet, they were on the red carpet, and that I love!

Lilly Singh came with her clear clutch, and she tossed inside a bunch of M&M’s, so we can all droll. Sweets aside, Lilly Singh is always a good vibe. I love that she’s all dolled up in her lime dress and lime high heels and her clutch. Where can I get such a bag? Or should I make a DIY?

BTS was on the red carpet at the Grammys, and we all know that’s what we were waiting for. They even had a segment on stage, but that’s for another story. Jin, Rm, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and JungKook wore browns and black, very simple and yet nicely put together. Each member had its stylish look, blending in gracefully with the rest of the team.

Grammy Awards: Winners, Best of Fashion and More

Grammy Awards was the event everyone was looking for to check out and now that it finally happened (I’ve been waiting for it for sure), we can gather around for a virtual cup of tea or whatever you wish to have, and break down all that it happened, in Glaibera’s style, of course.

Fashion-wise there has been lots of metallics – even Michelle Obama appeared in a dark sparkling pantsuit, next to J. Lo., Alicia Keys, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Lady Gaga. All ladies seemed to have spoken beforehand since each of them had the spark in the outfit.

Speaking of Gaga, the actress and singer left home loaded with trophies, which was expected to happen, thanks to her collab with Bradley Cooper on the movie ” A Star is Born” where the track “Shallow” touched the right place for many. For her red carpet appearance, the artist looked amazing. No extravagant hairstyle, but a platinum blond with beachy waves look framed her face while rocking a smudgy cat eye look. The dress is silver metallic, with an elongated sort of bow on the side and with a leg view. By far, her look is one the best from Grammy Awards.

The second favorite look is Dua Lipa’s black and white and safety pins dress in which she accepted her Best New Artist Award. And that was only one of the two awards she got in one night, second being for her Electricity track – Best Dance Recording, a win she shares with fellow artist Diplo.

Amongst the guests, I’ve seen my favorite couple, Ashley Simpson and Evan Ross, both looking as dashing as always. BTS members were there too, invited to hand over the Best R&B Album Award. On the stage, before announcing the winner, RM thanked the Army and made the promise to be back. Then H.E.R. came and took her Grammy award. And that’s about it. Well not entirely. Gabriella Wilson, known as H.E.R., also won Best R&B Performance for “Best Part”.

Moving on to performances on stage, I have to fangirl over the handsome latin trio – Ricky Martin, Camila Cabello, and J. Balvin. Dressed and white, yellow and red and rocking the stage. What a treat for their fans!

Other wins:
Kacey Musgraves won album of the year trophy and Best Country Album with “Golden Hour”. A few hours ago had no idea this name even existed, till I had to write this article, and by curiosity clicked on one of her tracks. Instant crush, let me tell you!

American Roots Performance Award and Americana Album Award went to Brandy Carlile with “The Joke” and album “By The Way, I Forgive You“.

Boy Band BTS Wins and Performs on Stage at the Billboard Music Awards 2018

South Korean boy band BTS for the second time on the red carpet at Billboard Awards seems to me like an ethereal experience. The group released just in time for the awards their Fake Love track from Love Yourself album, released May the 18th. I have already pressed the replay button countless times on their music video, but let’s talk more about what happened at the Billboards. The boys took home the award for Top Social Artist for the second year in the row and even performed on stage (wow-yes!; and yeah, I’ve watched that too), achieving a well-deserving first K-pop act to ever perform at the BBMAs. That’s an awesome way to spend your time at such an event as Billboard Awards; the boys can only be proud of such success, which now they can share with the supportive fan base, aka Army.

Fashion-wise, I have to start with Jin. He looked impeccable on the red carpet, wearing a shirt, tie, vest and matching pants next to white sneakers. Very cool, effortless yet fashionable. This look suits him like a glove. As a group, the band gave out a chill vibe, with casual shirts, jeans, white sneakers, belts, and scarfs. Jimin, RM and J-hope changed the sneakers for loafers, adding diversity to the general look. Love them!

In-Short New Year’s Eve 2018 Around the Globe

Ready or not, a brand new year took the official control of our magic reality, giving us new hopes for new beginnings, second chances, true love, wealth, better health and so on. Where were you when the midnight rang? If you care, I was facing the most incredible fireworks show from the coolest view. And that’s that.

Worldwide, artists had it like artists, meaning traveling and entertaining. Hopefully, there was enjoyment involved as well. Speaking of which, on-air correspondent Maria Menounos got married to her longtime partner, Keven Undergaro, the couple making it official in Times Square during the live broadcast of Fox’s New Year Eve live broadcast. Despite the cold, Menounos kept the traditional attire, looking gorgeous in her embroidered bridal dress. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Times Square was the place to be on 31 December, as South Korean boy band BTS performed at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, next to a pretty fancy list: rapper and boyfriend of singer Halsey, G-Eazy (I love them together), gorgeous Hailee Steinfeld, a very casual looking Charlie Puth, Bebe Rexha, Mariah Carey, and so many more.

Paris was another great location to be, as the Arc de Triomphe took on the task of being a perfect animated canvas, changing its appearance in colorful drawings during the New Year’s Celebration on the Champs-Elysees.

Passing tradition through the door between the old and new year was preferred in many parts of the world. In Germany, winter swimmers had no ice to fight for their New Year’s Day tradition, but that did not put an end to the task. I wouldn’t go as far, but I can say Happy New Year to you, beloved citizen of Earth, wherever you are, and whatever you are doing.

MAMA 2017 Awards – Winners and More

MAMA Awards 2017 took place yesterday in Hong Kong, and boy, was it thrilling! I’ve been all embraced with my laptop, surfing from one page to another just to keep up with everything that was happening, from the red carpet arrivals to the last award on stage. Trust me, no other soap opera and especially award shows, none have made my pink heart beat as fast as it did yesterday.

This edition has felt like a change of scene, almost as if the queens and kings that ruled the Mnet Asian Music Awards stage years in a row were this time nowhere in sight. Another major change is MAMA‘s decision to host this year’s edition in three separate locations: Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnam, Osaka – Japan and Hong Kong. Artists such as Twice, Wanna One, Exo-CBX and few other more have been awarded in Japan.

Fashion-wise, I loved everything about Song Ji-hyo’s look, the actress and TV host showing off her sophisticated side in a slight cut-out dress, matched by perfect makeup and straight hair.

As for who won what, the awards brought sometimes surprised, overwhelmed faces on stage, partially thanks to the controversy happening prior to the event regarding the votes. Both Exo and BTS, the two main male groups preferred by fans for the big awards, received, let’s say, equal gratification for their hard work, with Exo winning the album of the year award and BTS receiving just right after their glorious performance, full of sweat and out of breath, their artist of the year award.

Other winners:
Twice won Song Of The Year award for “Signal”.
New Asian Artist award went to NCT 127.
The very lovely duo band Bolbbalgan4 won Best Group Vocal Performance.
Best Female Group went to Red Velvet.

There are obviously way more awards, I’m just mentioning the ones that caught my attention. It could also be that I’m in a hurry to finish this so I can search through my fridge for something tasty.

AMAs 2017 Red Carpet – Diana Ross, BTS, Pink and More

BTS’s Army’s wishes had been granted yesterday, when the 7 members – Jin, Rap Monster, Jungkook, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Suga arrived on the red carpet, ahead of their performance for AMAs 2017. Perfectly styled for their appearance and posing together, I think this event, highly public, was way easier for them to handle than their Billboard Awards show-up. This time around, all the 7 members looked more relaxed and a tiny bit more at ease with their exciting task.

More than one person appearance seemed to be the norm on the red carpet, Diana Ross’s supporting large family being the best example to mention. The artist rocked an outfit larger than life and an even bigger hat, metaphorically speaking, really in tune with the award she was there to receive – A lifetime achievement award and a tribute video doesn’t sound bad at all. She rocked the stage as well, with the help of her nephews, and by now nobody truly knows which side was the real star – the singer or her dapper grandkids.

Fashion wise I have to say I loved Pink’s grapefruit pink tulle gown, playfully touched by a few floral appliqués on the corset of the dress. A second favorite is a piece worn by Issues singer, beautiful Julia Michaels. Similar to Pink’s dress, but oh, so very different in the vibe it gives. I love the creative approach the designer took in filling the space inside the cut-out portion of the dress, which happens to be right in the middle of the chest. EDM duo group, Chainsmokers, took their red carpet looks to another level, both of them sporting well-fitted suits, with Alex rocking the tartan and Andrew the black.

Last but not least, my heart skipped a beat, or more, at the sight of Jessie James pregnant silhouette. Body goals, that’s what she inspires, among other good things, such as good hair nice makeup, great pose.

BTS Wins Social Media Award at the Billboard Music Awards 2017

About K-pop band BTS there’s much to talk about, from their attractive visuals to how they smashed into the international music charts. This year has brought for them plenty awards and the latest win scores a huge step for the band. Winning against artists like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, the lovely group was preferred by an astounding 300 million votes to be the “Top Social Media Artist Awards” at the Billboard Awards 2017.

Jimin, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, V, JungKook and Rap Monster rocked the black for the occasion in personalized looks. Their fashion appearance got the Vogue talking, naming BTS the best-dressed boy-band at the BBMAs 2017.

In the accepting speech, Rap-Monster thanked the Army for their accomplishments. Besides their huge fanbase, the guys work hard. “You Never Walk Alone” was released in February 2017 as a second studio “Wings” album and with it, the band launched “Spring” and “Not Today” which became successful in several important music charts. Since then the guys kept it busy with tours, TV appearances and more touring.

Congratulations to the BTS’s seven members and their team!

BTS “Not Today” MV is Here

The world can finally relax because BTS released their “Not Today” MV and if you take a look at some of the reactions on social media platforms – well people loved it and I liked it too (the video) HOWEVER I feel like there’s something missing – compared to the “Save Me” MV, which is simple but very beautiful. Nonetheless, like always, we get to see creativity that implies a lot of work and planning – BTS is all about a great delivery.

Back to “Not Today”, if you don’t know what’s all the fuss about – BTS released this month (February 2017) a new album called “You never walk alone” – Spring Day and Not Today being two of the first four tracks released – I wonder if there’s more to come. Both tracks been successfully received by South Korean and international audience, with Spring Day scoring for the fastest K-pop group music video to reach 20 million views in less than 4 days AND a 8th place in the Top 10 US iTunes Song Chart – a first for Kpop industry and a well deserved result for BTS.

Congrats to them!
